Light, healthy and super delicious is this tuna tatar with a refreshing avocado mango salad.
We love such dishes at warm summer days, when you don’t want to eat something warm and heavy. With the acidity of the lime and the sweetness of the mango you get a nicely balanced, fresh and light dish.
As it is a raw dish, the tuna should be of excellent “sushi” quality. A big plus of this meal is that tuna contains little fat and calories but a lot of healthy protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids – a very healthy form of fat – which inhibit inflammation in the body, protect the blood vessels and strengthen the immune system.
Please note that the success of the dish depends on the ripeness of the mango and avocado as well as the freshness and quality of the fish.
Hope you like the dish.
Tuna with marinade: Mango and avocado salad: Tuna tatar: Prepare a bowl for the tuna tatar an add wasabi, sesam oil, soy sauce, orange and lime juice. You need to mix it really well, otherwise you will have some bigger peaces of wasabi on your plate. Then chop the spring onions thinly and add them to the rest. After that, quickly roast the sesam seeds in a dry pan at medium heat until light brown and add them to the sauce. At the end, cut the tuna into regular cubes and add them to the marinade. Then put it again in the fridge until you serve your meal. Mango avocado salad: Cut the mango and the avocado in regular cubes and marinate them with the lime and orange juice, the finely chopped green chili and the oil and vinegar. Afterwards add a little pinch of salt. Prepare the dish: At home, I just take a food ring and place at first some of the mango avocado salad on the bottom, then some tuna tatar on top and garnish it with some onion sprouts. For a fancy dinner, you can plate it as shown in the pictures. But be aware that you need to cut the cubes very accurately. Bon appétit!Ingredients
